Digna Niken Purwaningrum, S.Gz, MPH, Ph.D is a lecturer in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Population Health, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Health and a master’s degree in Public Health from Universitas Gadjah Mada, and earned her Ph.D. in Public Health Nutrition from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia.
Her academic and research interests focus on public health nutrition, maternal and child nutrition, stunting prevention, obesity prevention and control, food consumption behavior, and nutrition-related health policy. Over the past several years, she has been actively involved in national research and technical assistance projects addressing stunting reduction, obesity prevention strategies, maternal nutrition interventions, and integrated health planning at district and village levels.
Digna Niken has published her research in reputable international and national journals, including Public Health Nutrition, Nutrition and Health, and the Indonesian Journal of Clinical Nutrition. She is also a frequent speaker at international scientific conferences and has contributed to policy-oriented books and guidelines related to non-communicable disease prevention, stunting mitigation, and maternal and child health in Indonesia.
