Anis Fuad, S.Ked, DEA is a lecturer at the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Population Health, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. He holds a Master’s degree in Medical Informatics from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie, France, and a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Universitas Gadjah Mada. His academic expertise lies in digital health, health informatics, health data governance, and the application of information technology to strengthen health systems and public health decision-making.
In addition to his academic role, he has served since 2002 as an eHealth consultant at the Center for Health Policy and Management, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and has extensive experience working with national and international stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health of Indonesia, BPJS Kesehatan, the Asian Development Bank, the Global Fund, and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. His work includes the development of digital health regulatory sandboxes, national health information system strengthening, interoperability standards, artificial intelligence governance, data protection, and cybersecurity in healthcare.
Mr. Fuad has led and contributed to numerous strategic projects related to digital health innovation, regulatory frameworks, and health information systems in Indonesia and abroad. He has published widely in international peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Medical Internet Research, JMIR Formative Research, and Studies in Health Technology and Informatics, with research focusing on interoperability, electronic health records, digital health governance, and emerging technologies in public health.
