dr. Risalia Reni Arisanti,MPH, is a lecturer and public health researcher at the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Population Health, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada. She obtained her medical degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada and completed a Master of Public Health in the Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) with a USAID PRESTASI scholarship. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Her expertise lies in infectious disease epidemiology, malaria elimination, immunization, outbreak investigation, and health surveillance systems. She has extensive professional experience working with national and international institutions, including the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, Global Fund, CHAI, and the Indonesian Ministry of Health. She has been actively involved as a consultant, technical working group member, trainer, and researcher in malaria elimination strategies, vaccine assessment, COVID-19 surveillance, and outbreak response across Indonesia.
dr. Risalia has participated in and led numerous outbreak investigations, including malaria, anthrax, foodborne disease, and COVID-19. Her scholarly work includes publications in international peer-reviewed journals such as BMJ Global Health, BMC Infectious Diseases, PLOS Global Public Health, and Narra Journal, as well as contributions to textbooks and policy-oriented publications on epidemiology, program evaluation, and disease elimination. In addition to her research activities, she is actively engaged in teaching, training, and capacity building in field epidemiology and good health research practice at national and regional levels.
